Hire a Laravel developer who also runs the servers
Laravel is one of the stacks I use a lot, alongside Node and the rest. I build new Laravel apps, take over ones that were left half-finished, upgrade old versions and fix the slow bits. I also run the servers, so you get one person for the code and the box it runs on.
The Laravel projects I get called into usually have a history. The original developer left, the docs never existed, the app is two major versions behind, and every change seems to break something unrelated. That is fixable, and it rarely needs a rewrite.
I start by running it locally and reading the code, and you get a plain list of what I found and what I would fix first. After that it is usually performance (queries, indexes, eager loading, caching), the queue and cron setup, and getting onto a supported Laravel and PHP version without breaking anything.
For new builds I keep it simple: Laravel with Inertia and Vue, or a clean API for a mobile app, queues for anything slow, and Filament when you need an admin panel quickly.
Where I have done this before
I have been building with PHP and Laravel since 2017, including the backend of a Shopify app that connected two marketplaces. I work with MySQL daily and deploy what I build myself.
Laravel, PHP, MySQL, Redis, Horizon, Inertia, Vue and Filament, running on Linux and NGINX.
★★★★★
"Aakash is the first person I call when something on Klick.now needs building or fixing. He gets what I mean even when I explain it badly, tells me straight when an idea is not worth the time, and then ships something better than what I asked for. No drama, no surprises on the invoice, and he genuinely cares how the product turns out."

Questions people ask
Can you take over our existing Laravel app?
Yes, it is a big part of what I do. I read it first and tell you honestly what state it is in.
Hourly or fixed?
Hourly with daily updates is what I prefer. For a well-defined project I can give a fixed quote after the first call.
Can you host it too?
Yes. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or a plain VPS, with deploys, backups and monitoring.
